We are looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our Group IT Development Management team. You will be part of a global Group IT team (Located in Deggendorf or Leverkusen), supporting our business in all Caverion operating countries in the Nordics and Central Europe. The function is reporting to Head of Development in Group IT


Portfolio Manager (m/f/d) 


Role Description: 
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, compliance and deployment of various IT development efforts that utilize information technology solutions, principles, standards, and best practices. The Portfolio Manager develops, establishes, and maintains portfolio, project and resource management standards, toolsets and procedures.
This includes working with management and staff, as well as other departments and stakeholders, to assess, document, and budget potential projects; oversee project commencement and prioritization; continuous monitoring and reporting on project status; participate in the department’s change management process; and play an integral role in the annual budget process.

Key Accountabilities for Portfolio Management 

  • Manage the Group IT Portfolio of different initiatives and investments
  • Representing Group IT in Caverion‘s Project & Portfolio Governance
  • Facilitate initiation and assessment of new initiatives related to IT Development
  • Support in evaluation and decision process related to IT Technology
  • Training and supporting project management tools and processes
  • Deliver monthly updates on the IT Portfolio to IT Management
  • Participate in discussions and activities regarding IT project funding, resourcing and prioritization, considering both Business and IT perspectives
  • Navigate processes for funding and execution of IT Projects and Programs
  • Suggest and support IT Portfolio balancing activities in relation to cost, scope, schedule
  • Support Projects and Programs through Portfolio planning and execution
  • Understand, evaluate and report risks related to the IT Portfolio
  • Chair the Group IT Portfolio Review to enforce structure that links IT processes and IT resources to agreed objectives

Preferred background and qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum five years of IT Governance/Portfolio Management experience
  • PMP Certification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organizational, structural and analytical skills
  • Excellent English language skills
  • Strategic view combined with mindfulness, effective negotiating, consulting & coaching skills
  • Good IT knowledge, skills and competences
  • Good understanding of how technology development affects Business strategically and financially
  • Good understanding of IT related budgeting and risk management
